⇒ Day 1: Marrakech » Atlas Moumtains » Ait Benhaddou » Dades Gorges [ 315 km]

The 4 Days tour from Marrakech to Sahara Desert. Starts from the airport or your accommodation onward journey to Bomalen Dades. Today we will go high up over the Atlas Mountains. At the 2260 m high Tizi-n-Tichka (Tizi (Berber) = pass) we stop and enjoy the breathtaking panorama. We continue to the “Ksar Aît Benhaddou” (Ksar = settlement). This enchanting still original place in old clay construction has already served as a backdrop for many famous films (most recently “The Game of Thrones”).

We continue to Ouarzazate, the Moroccan movie metropolis that matches this old settlement we just visited. A next stop is the Valley of Roses. Here, the local offerings will make the hearts of herbal enthusiasts beat faster. Rose perfume. soap. And body cream. Even the precious essential oil can be purchased here at a reasonable price. Now we are already on the road of 1000 Kasbahs – a region that gives an idea of how important and sometimes hotly contested the former trade route along the river oases was. After a few more visits along the way, we arrive in Boumalne du Dades in the evening. We will stop at a typical hotel or riad.

Impressive, how the rock walls in this narrow gorge with the bubbling, crystal clear water of the Dades rise far up! And right after that we stop at another gorge: The Todra Gorge – at 1550 m.a.s.l. It is located at the foothills of the High Atlas and starts in the Berber town of Tinghir.

Also, on the way to Merzouga there are many bizarre rock formations, but also wide oasis valleys and of course old Kasbahs to see. In Erfoud we will make a stop at a manufactory, which is making articles of use and jewelry out of the regional fossil finds. Afterwards we will bring you to your hotel or desert camp directly at the edge of the Sahara. Behind your hotel the first golden sand dunes are already rising. A camel ride to the sunset over the dunes awaits you. Be sure to take your camera to capture this special moment.

⇒ Day 3: Merzouga » Rissani – Alnif »Tazarine » Ouarzazate [366 km]

Rise early in the morning and climb a dune just behind your hotel to witness perhaps the most beautiful sunrise of your life. After a Berber breakfast, we will leave the Desert to Rissani for the local market, where nomads from all over the region sell their goods or livestock. There are donkeys instead of cars in the parking lot. There is haggling and bargaining at the market stalls. (almost) everything here. And one thing above all: a glimpse into the lives of the locals – original and unvarnished. Lunch will be in Rose valley then we continue our way towards Ouarzazate where you will be welcomed in your riad for Overnight stay including dinner.

Today After Breakfast, we head to Marrakech. [ the Red city]. by Crossing the High Atlas Mountains via TiziN’Tichka pass, in the evening we arrive Marrakech. from then our 4 Days Tour from Marrakech ends with a drop off in your Riad.
